Welcome to A2, the Augmented Reality Amazing Race. New employee teams of 2 travel across the Baycrest campuses to discover our hidden treasures and learn more about the amazing organization where they work! At every destination, each team must find the AR Easter egg and solve a riddle to learn their next location. Doesn’t this sound like a lot more fun than a group of 15 people following one of our HR leaders around the organization like ducklings? Organizational Effectiveness came to us with a problem, they wanted to revamp new employee orientation and create some fun and excitement in the first days at Baycrest. After seeing what a Dublin hospital had done with the free version of Aurasma, an idea was immediately sparked! We would leverage the Aurasma tool and app to “Turn everyday objects, images, and places into new opportunities for engagement through striking augmented reality experiences”!
In this session you will learn:
- what is AR?
- how might I practically use AR in my organization
- an overview of Aurasma,
- an AR tool that has a free option
- a quick how-to on using Aurasma to create a solution
